Spring 2018 Bridal Fashion

Bridal fashion for next spring has made its debut and we’re absolutely loving it! The Spring 2018 Bridal Fashion Week was a tremendous success for designers, which means that those of you who will be tying the knot next spring are in luck, and most certainly bound to find the dress of your wedding day dreams. Read on to learn more about the latest bridal fashion trends that we’re head over heels for.

Cape(let)s
Considering the popularity of Super Woman, it only makes sense that brides wear an empowering fashion piece on their big day. According to those on location at Bridal Fashion Week, just about every designer featured at least one wedding gown that was adorned by a cape or capelet. Aside from the Super Woman association that can be made, these additions add a very royal touch to any dress—perfect for any princess.

Big Bows
This Old Hollywood trend adds a vintage taste to an otherwise simple silhouette. Granted, bows have made an appearance in wedding fashion in recent years, but this time they are bolder, bigger, and better than ever.

Gloves
Traditional evening gloves get a makeover for the spring 2018 bridal season. Make a modest statement with sheer elbow-length gloves. If elbow-length isn’t for you, thin and dainty wrist-length gloves make just as much of a polished statement. These gloves are a perfect mix between fashion forward and ladylike, making them the perfect accessory.

Classic Cuts
With so many things going on during the big day, a classic gown in a timeless silhouette is a simply stunning choice. For those looking for a simple wedding dress for the big day, you’ll love all the comeback of classic cuts: structured outlines and boatneck and halter necklines, in A-line cuts made of silks and satin.

Minis and Midis
A modern fashion statement, to say the least. Hemlines are headed a bit north for the 2018 bridal season. This upcoming spring season, it’s not just the bridesmaids who will get the chance to show off their killer calves, but the bride herself will have the option to show some skin in a mini or midi wedding dress.

Trousers
Although, quite the opposite from minis and midis, many models were strutting down the Bridal Fashion Week runway in everything from white colored pantsuit separates and jumpsuits. Some made of silk and tailored to perfection, others of lace with a loose in figure flattering cut.

Blue
Surely, you’ve heard the saying before, something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Turns out the rhyme made its way into the hearts of designers because baby blue was seen all throughout the runways of Bridal Fashion Week. Some downs blue with white or gold accents, other gowns a classic ivory or white tone with simple, barely-there blue features.

Fringe
Picture The Great Gatsby’s flapper style dresses that’ll make a girl want to dance all night long. In both long, gown length, as well as mini and midi hems, dresses with fringe flair are hotter than ever in upcoming spring bridal fashion. Hey—weddings are a celebration, right?
